New Testament

1 Corinthians 2:7-2:10

7. But we speak the wisdom of God
in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom,

        which God ordained
        before the world unto our glory:

                8. Which none of the princes
                of this world knew:

                        for had they known it,
                        they would not have crucified
                        the Lord of glory.

1 Corinthians 3:5-3:9

5. Who then is Paul,
and who is Apollos,
but ministers by whom ye believed,
even as the Lord gave to every man?

        6. I have planted,
        Apollos watered;
        but God gave the increase.

        7. So then neither is he that planteth any thing,
        neither he that watereth;
        but God that giveth the increase.

1 Corinthians 3:18-4:7

18. Let no man deceive himself.
If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world,
let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
19. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.

        For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
        20. And again,
        The Lord knoweth
        the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
        21. Therefore let no man glory in men.

1 Corinthians 5:12-6:8

12. For what have I to do to judge them also that are without?
do not ye judge them that are within?
13. But them that are without God judgeth.
Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

        6:1 Dare any of you, having a matter against another,
        go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?

1 Corinthians 6:1-6:4

1. Dare any of you, having a matter against another,
go to law before the unjust,
and not before the saints?

        2. Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world?
        and if the world shall be judged by you,
        are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

        3. Know ye not that we shall judge angels?
        how much more things that pertain to this life?

1 Corinthians 6:13-6:20

13. Meats for the belly,
and the belly for meats:
but God shall destroy
both it and them.

Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord;
and the Lord for the body.
14. And God hath both raised up the Lord,
and will also raise up us by his own power.

        15. Know ye not
        that your bodies
        are the members of Christ?

1 Corinthians 7:1-7:5

1. Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me:
It is good for a man not to touch a woman.

2. Nevertheless, to avoid fornication,
let every man have his own wife,
and let every woman have her own husband.

        3. Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence:
        and likewise also the wife unto the husband.

                4. The wife hath not power of her own body,
                but the husband: and likewise

1 Corinthians 13:8-13:13

8 Charity never faileth:
but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail;
whether there be tongues, they shall cease;
whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

        9 For we know in part,
        and we prophesy in part.
        10 But when that which is perfect is come,
        then that which is in part shall be done away.

1 Corinthians 11:17-11:22

17. Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not,
that ye come together not for the better,
but for the worse.

        18. For first of all,
        when ye come together in the church,
        I hear that there be divisions among you;

                and I partly believe it.
                19. For there must be also heresies among you,
                that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.

1 Corinthians 11:9-11:11

9. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

        10. For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.

11. Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
