Hebrews 12:12-12:17

12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
14. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

        15. Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God;
        lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you,

Hebrews 12:1-12:4

1. Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him

                endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 10:1-10:4

1. For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, not the image itself of the things,

        each year

                with the same sacrifices,

                        which they offer for all time, never is able those who approach

                                to make perfect

                        2. Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, because those offering worship,
                        once having been cleansed, would have had no further consciousness of sins?

Hebrews 7:19-7:22

19. For the law made nothing perfect,
but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

                20. And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest: 21. (For those priests were made without an oath;

                but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)

22. By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.

Hebrews 7:11-7:12

11. If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,)

        what further need was there after the order of Melchisedec,

                that another priest should rise,

        and not be called after the order of Aaron?

12. For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

7. For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt;

Hebrews 6:13-6:20

13. For when God made promise to Abraham,
        because he could swear by no greater,
        he sware by himself, 14. Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
15. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

                16. For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.

Hebrews 5:11-6:12

11. Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.
12. For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

Hebrews 4:14-5:10

14. Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. 5:1 For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may

Hebrews 4:1-4:11

1. Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. 2. For unto us was the gospel preached,
as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them,
not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3. For we which have believed do enter into rest,

                as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest:
